MOVING TO NEDERLAND.

After 1,5 year being together, me and my boyfriend decided to go continue our life back in his country. The decision was bit hard for him, because he loves Bali so much, as for me, it just another exciting chapter of my life.

We decided to live in Nederland ( as I write the country, I wasn’t sure on the correct spelling anymore, that I need to google), with partner visa ( or visum as my BF keep saying, now that I look back, he often used word in its origin language, like visum, musea – as in museum, aquaria – as in aquarium ), where this partner visa or MVV allows this foreign partner to live for max 5 years ( if the law hasn’t change), and work.

At the end of January we bought the ticket ( one way ticket to NL ) for June 30th for me and march 28 for my BF. He needs to go back first so he can prepare for my arrival. Take care off the legal work and a work itself.

The MVV required you to pass the Inburgering Examen, a test for your Dutch Language Understanding and Culture, I have to admit, it gives me creeps and worries, specially since I’m self tought, no informal  course or tought by a teacher etc, well, for sure my BF was helping me the best he can do, and the sweetest part in order for me to pass this test and to do it well, he bought me this course book called Naar  Nederland.

MVV Requirements
To registers and get the Visa, you must complete this requriments :
  1. Pass the Inburgering Examen ( The Dutch Knowledge Test )
  2. Legalisation of papers from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Justice.
  3. Fill in the form ( #rollingmyeyes )
  4. Proof of your Dutch partner employment status and life ( prolly they need to make sure that your partner is able to feed you )

Preparing for the Inburgering Examen
It takes me almost 3 months to finish the book, since I have goal to finish and have the test at the end of April, Yesterday was the last chapter, now all I have to do is repeat and re-read some of the words and memorise the important words.
I have also been searching and reading about the review and experince from some people who did the test, and they said that it’s not difficult ( well – hopefully its not. Lord have mercy ).

They have this video regarding the Dutch Cultures, and basically a book for your badic dutch language.

I hope I slay those like seriously

Back to the MVV requirments, one of them are sorting all my legal paper. As you might now ( or not ), Indonesia are not big fan of effective administration system, the beaurocracy is so ridiculous, that I need to start all those paper early. So I begin to sort all the paper such as the legalization of my birth certificate and and Letter of aknowledgement that I haven’t been married which is being legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affair and Justice Minister ( what the F was all that about ???, but I guess they want to make sure that my BF didn’t do the human trafficking by bringing this asian girl to his country ). Takes me 3 weeks to do the first step of those legalize paper, since Indonesia has some level of government administration, aaaaannnnndd yes, they all need those stamps fromt those levels.

Now it’s 2 weeks to my test. Must say that I’m a little bit nervous. I have bought my ticket to Jakarta and book a hotel, prepareing to stay for 3 days to do the test and go to this ministry departments. Hopefully everyting will turn out to be well. !!!! HAVE TO !!!

Oh and btw this post is the continouance from my last post of SURVIVING THE BIG WHITE ELEPHANT.
