MANGA REVIEW OF THE WEEK : BOKU NO HASUKOI WO KIMI NI SASAGU

I have been reading manga for like forever ... and I like my manga to be well drawn, interesting, funny, and of course romantic .. (no jigoku shoujo for me.) And I read this tear jerking ( well not really), beautiful love story called : BOKU NO HASUKOI WO KIMI NI SASAGU ( I give my first love to you). It is so beautifully made. The hero and the heroine was awfully cute, not to mention the other character that follow... kudos for the author.

Ok .. so the story was about the friendship between Mayu and Takuma ( a boy with a heart problem, whose doctor been telling him that he only got to live until he turn 20). Mayu and Takuma met at the hospital for mayu's father was the doctor that taking care of Takuma. From that first meeting, Takuma liked Mayu, and the feeling develop until the grow up. It just kept getting stronger, and so was Mayu's, she doesn't know that Takuma knows he's going to die at 20.

The story described the feeling so intense between the two of them, how Takuma hide his feeling, for he doesn't want Mayu to get closer to him, because he thought if she's close then she won't be able to be alright once he leave her.

It's so interesting to see them love each other, so many jealousy that were pictured so nicely, and how Takuma decieve his feeling is ...... beautifull.

So I thin, everybody who loves romantic manga, definetly have to read this one... I gave it 5 stars ....

And.. this is the best part, it already made into movie, the girl who play Mayu was the one in the Boys Before Flower, but I wish the guy who play Takuma was the one in The First Love series... he just soooo cute.

MOVIE REVIEW OF THE WEEK : THE BOOK OF ELI

From www.wikipedia.org :

Thirty years after an apocalyptic event, Eli (Denzel Washington) travels on foot toward the west coast of the United States. Along the way he demonstrates effective survival and fighting skills, hunting strange wildlife and swiftly defeating a group of highway bandits who try to ambush him. Searching for a source of water he arrives in a ramshackle town which was built by and is overseen by Carnegie (Gary Oldman). Carnegie dreams of building more towns and hinges these hopes on finding a certain book. His henchmen scour the desolate landscape daily in search of it.
In the local bar, Eli is set upon by a gang of bikers and kills them all. Realizing that Eli is a literate man like himself, as well as desiring his skills, Carnegie asks Eli to stay, though it is made clear that the offer is non-negotiable. After Carnegie's blind concubine Claudia (Jennifer Beals) gives Eli some food and water, Carnegie asks Claudia's daughter Solara (Mila Kunis) to seduce Eli. Eli turns her down, but invites her to eat with him. Before they eat though, he has her pray with him. The following day Solara prays with her mother. Carnegie overhears them though and forces Solara to tell him that Eli was reading a book. When he asks what kind, she says she does not know, but forms a cross with her two fingers. Carnegie realizes that Eli has a copy of the Bible, the book he has been looking for, as all copies were destroyed after the apocalypse. Eli sneaks out of his room and goes to the store across the street where he asked the Engineer (Tom Waits) to recharge his portable battery. Carnegie attempts to stop Eli, having all his henchmen fire at him, but Eli avoids the gunfire and shoots most of Carnegie's henchmen, even shooting Carnegie's leg with a shotgun blast. After Eli leaves, Solara follows and tracks him down, hoping she can accompany him on his travels and escape the town. Eli refused to take Solara with him but then Solara offers that she take him to the town's water supply. After fulfilling her end of the bargain, Eli traps her there and continues on alone. Solara escapes and soon finds herself set upon by two men. As Solara grapples with the men, Eli suddenly appears and kill them with arrows. Eli and Solara continue on foot until they arrive at a strange house. They stop to investigate and quickly fall into a trap door. The residents Martha (Frances de la Tour) and George (Michael Gambon) appear and invite them in for tea. Eli surmises that they trap, kill, and then eat invaders, evidenced by their shaking hands from too much human meat. Before Eli and Solara can leave though, they are found by Carnegie.
Eli, Solara, Martha, and George hole up inside the house, and George reveals a hidden stockpile of powerful weaponry. A shoot-out ensues, leading to the death of many of Carnegie's men as well as George and Martha. Eli and Solara are captured. Carnegie threatens to kill Solara, which prompts Eli to hand over the Bible. Carnegie shoots Eli in the stomach and leaves. While in transit, Solara escapes by killing men in her car and drives back to help Eli. Carnegie returns to the town as he has the Bible and is low on fuel. Solara picks Eli up and they continue west until they reach the Golden Gate Bridge, then they row to Alcatraz where they find a group of survivors dedicated to preserving pre-war knowledge. Eli tells the guard that he has a copy of the King James version of the Bible, and they are allowed in. Inside they are introduced to Lombardi (Malcolm McDowell), who is the curator of a collection of things from before the apocalypse. Eli dictates the Bible from memory to Lombardi, before dying from his wounds. Carnegie has the Engineer open the Bible but is distraught to find that it is in Braille, and Claudia refuses to read it to him. His leg has started to go septic, and he will die without ever having read the Bible. Alcatraz begins printing copies of the Bible. Solara is offered sanctuary, but instead chooses to take up Eli's weapons and go east.

What I think :

What  I like about the movie was the fighting scenes between denzel and the bad guys... it was so asian movie, the way he swung the knife, so smooth and graceful.
But it wish there were more, I mean it was great to use religion as the main focus of the movie, and I think it'l be great if the movie tells more about the book ( aka the bible) it self, and  I think it'll much much more interesting.

Love denzel  washington, I think he is the coolest guy, and he really potrayed the older hero , Gary Oldman as usual gives his usual performance, which is great. Overall, I like the movie, but something is a lil bit missing... probably it need more time or longer story ??? i dunno

WAR OF THE SHAMPOO ....

I live with my two brothers, a daughter and a husband, who are having diffrent kind of hair type, which of course made my month shopping is more exciting and more costly.

Like for example, my husband have this scalp problem, that when he get stressed or nervous, he kind of develope some kinda of dandruff problem, that occasionally came and only Sunsilk with Dandruff can work the magic on him.

and I think it's good for he solve the hair problem, but I wish I could say the same when one of my brother enter the same problem. So he tried the sunsilk, but he convinced me that it gave his hair a dry after effect, and that it lost its shines, I said when was your hair really shiny, because I never see his shiny hair, but he insisted that sunsilk making it diffrent.... so I gave up, enter Dove Shampoo anti dandruff.

So my brother were content... he looked happy, and that were good, except one problem, that Dove Shampoo is rather costly to my monthly budget, so I convinced him to try another brand, but to no avail it didn't work. Bummer......

Enter .... Lifeboy shampoo damage hair therapy, which do wonders to me, I love the smells, I think it smells the strongest among others and it lingers a lot while ....

I have this problem of falling hair.... thats why I have gone pixie, because I thought that if I were to have a short hair, then it won't fall... luckily with lifebuoy hair falling therapy, I didn't have to worry about it anymore, I felt it lesson... shoot ... it really actually work... kudos.....

Last but not least... my daughter... which have a very dry hair, and it really gets tangled everytime she woke up, and I have to fight with her everyday when preparing her to go to school .. yes .. the combing activity can get ugly .... I gave her dove for dry hair, along with the conditioner ... still my daughter's hair still gets tangled... then I bought Pantene Pro V for smooth and silky hair, long with the conditioner ..... seriously ... works for my daughter ....

 From www.pantene.com :

A polished, sleek, smooth look is always in style. This Pro-V formula cleanses gently and helps align each strand, leaving hair shining and manageably smooth. Intended for wavy or straight styles. Used as a system with Pro-V Smooth Conditioner, it:
  • Is specially designed to smooth and condition hair for protection against damage
  • Calms unruly hair to help alleviate frizz
  • Leaves hair noticeably smoother with incredible shine and softness*
* Pantene shampoo and conditioner vs. non-conditioning shampoo

My Review :

Seriously guys.... it's probably my daughter thing, but it looks better on her, and it added a certain shine to her hair... and she loves the smells .... it just going perfect and I'm happy that now the combing experience is relaxing, and she's beginning to wanting her hair done... lol...

THE JOURNEY TO 55 KG ... can I do it???? part 2 : DAY 1

I know that I have to start to think about losing some weight ... again... or even do. And I have thought so much about it, when to start and how. Should I do the lemon diet again, I mean the last time I did the lemon diet, I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks... from 72 kg to 68 kg.... not bad huh??

But now, I'm aiming for the higher level ... yes people .... 58 kg ... or if God willing... 55 kg, can I really do it ...

so here's the journey begin

Day 1 :
Woke up at 6 am, doing my daily chores, looking after and prepare my daughter to school ( this could be a very overwhelming experience, for she's sometimes so hard to handle, and I really dont have the patient).
Then I decided to eat chicken porridge for breakfast ... I know I know ... the carbs and all....  but I think I have to take it slow ... so , i found some facts about chiken porridge that you might have to know, so you can learn on my mistake :

From www.thedailyplate.com :

I dont think Im going to eat alot for lunch, I'm going to stick to a plate of papaya, and for dinner ... yes.... vegetables .... no dairy and no sugar for at least 2 whole weeks .... GANBARE INTEN !!!!!

MY 5 TEN KDRAMA / JDORAMA SO FAR......

So Here were my favorite Dorama and Kdrama of all time. I love romance and comedy, so you probably see almost those two genres here. It might not the latest drama, some were old, but it was absolutely good. Usually people starts with them number 10, but I'll start with the number one.. yey ...

1. PRIDE

Broad cast from Fuji TV from 12 January 2004 - 22 March 2004

From www.wikipedia.com
Cast :

The Plot :
The show revolves around a corporate ice hockey team, the Blue Scorpions. The main character is Haru Satonaka (spelled Halu in the show), the captain of the team. Other team members are Yamato Hotta (the goalie), Makoto Shimaura (the rookie) and Tomonori Ikegami. In the first episode, we learn that Haru idolizes their coach, Anzai, who was a former hockey player. When he dies from an illness by the end of the first episode, Haru puts it upon himself to take care of his coach's widow, Yoko, and their young son, Wataru. The introduction of the team's new coach (Yuichiro Hyodo) does not go well, as Haru refuses to conform to the new methods, especially after Hyodo insults Ansai's way of coaching. This sets up a very antagonistic relationship between the two men. Aside from the hockey, another aspect of the show is the members' love life. Haru treats his relationships as games, refusing to fall in love. This is probably a result of his promise to Anzai to remain an "iceman", believing that a relationship, especially if children were born, would have a negative effect on his game. He believes he's found the perfect solution by starting a relationship with Aki Murase, an office lady from his team's corporation. Their "contracted" relationship is a game, as she is waiting for the return of her architect boyfriend in New York. However, she hasn't heard from him in 2 years, and she knows the relationship is over. Still, she goes every Sunday to a bridge to wait for him.
Yamato is in a conflicted relationship with Yuri Aizawa, a friend and fellow office lady of Aki. She is a self-confessed gold-digger, vowing never to live the same difficult life as her poor single mother. She believes that Yamato is from a rich family, as he was driving Tomo's car the night they met. He tries to tell her the truth, but she thinks he's only joking. He doesn't want to be in a relationship built on a lie.
Tomo is the playboy on the team. After finding out that he was the product of an affair, he rebelled, constantly throwing away the money his rich father gives him on friends and women. Usually staying with one night stands, he finds a possible partner in Chika Ishikawa, yet another of Aki's friends and co-workers.

Duration :
11 Episodes - They come with different problem each episode.

My General Review :
The top notch of my Jdrama. I love Takuya Kimura, I think he played such a great player here. Someone who was so afraid to be inlove, but when he feels the love, he loves like crazy. Plus there were so many romantic moments between Haru ( Takuya Kimura) and Aki. They both really played well.

For Your Info :
The soundtrack was full of QUEEN's song ( like I was Born to Love you, were the song credit opening of the drama), and there were so much more, so for you who are Queen's fans.... think gonna love it

Ratings:
10 of 10  - ( I'm willing to watch the first to tenth episode all over again...)

My General Review :
The story about girl turns into boys isn't new anymore, but this one kinda good because the cast were great. They really fits into the character specially the main actor Jang  Geun Suk, not only does he has the most beautiful voice ever, which is deep and husky, but he really acted well. I think he won an award for his performance here. The girl played well too, not to mention cute ( but that's how korean people like, cute and .. well cute. nuff said).

For Your Info :
Since the actor played a group band, they do sang their own soundtrack. So prepare for the good way the sang the song. ( I download the songs as soon as I watch them )

MY AU NATURALE LOOK of THE DAY ....

I have been yearning on writing a review of my ULTIMA II product : which are ULTIMA II UNDER MAKEUP MOISTURE LOTION and ULTIMA II THE NAKEDS FACE POWDER.

OK so I can't find a decent picture on google, and I'm to lazy to get my camera, so this laptop built in cam is what available... anyhow ..... let write my review ...

ULTIMA II UNDER MAKE UP MOISTURE LOTION for nornal skin

      From The Product Cover :

Luxurious, light weight lotiom to moisturize, protect and keep makeup fresher longer. Smooth on over cleansed skin

      My Skin Type :

Oily on the certain part, and little dry on the other part ( so mix??) , not to mention some baby acne which are ready to come out, and some red blotches ( so really need to cover up)

      Package :

A sturdy glass bottle with a screw lid, like any typical ultima moisturize product, it is green... my fav color.

      Texture :

Light lotion and so liquid, smells good ( in a healthy way), and when it touch your skin, it absorb quickly.

      What I Think :

Ok, first, I'm not a type a person who moisture or what ever u wanna call it my face when I apply make up, I generally use a foundation ( which are not very often), or a cream ( which I get from my cousins hubby who happens to have a traditional herb medicine -- used it since I was in my colage) and a loose powder. But since I hit 30, I always look all the anti aging comercial on Tv, and was wondering if I should really pay attention to my not so baby skin face ... lol. Anyway, I took notice when my mum bought herself an ultima product ( which she used for like ages), so I brace my self, and try this lotion a try, which I very much to say, that I very much like it.

The lotion really freshen up your make up, and since I apply it without any foundation, the income was the natural look on my face .. love love love it.

      Application:

Gently apply it all over my face, then I apply my loose powder ( I'm not a fan of pressed powder)

      Price :

      I Forgot, its around Rp. 100.000 - 250.000

      Rating :
      5/5

ULTIMA II THE NAKEDS FACE POWDER

      My Skin Tone:

Tanned ... and a little bit oily

      Packaging :

A Sturdy glass jar with a luminium-ish screw top

      Color Selection:

As I can remember, it has 2 choice of color selection, mine, which is normal/nude color, and the other one is in the lighter tone.

      Texture :

Dry and mild, slighty matte.... cool finishing.

      Coverage :

Total coverage, I think the red blotches on my cheek were diseappearing. And the look was so natural, with a nice oil control, for i only see a little bit oil on my nose, and I can still comfortable with it.

      What I think :

I'm very satisfy with the end result, the natural look rally popping, I hate it when someone knows your wearing foundation or a powder, so plastic.

      Rating :
      5/5

It Happened One Autumn is the story of Lillian Bowman, a bold and headstrong American heiress, and Marcus, Lord Westcliff, the most eligible peer in England. But even though Lillian is hunting for a husband, Marcus is the last man she would ever consider marrying.

In this scene from “It Happened One Autumn”, Marcus, Lord Westcliff, finds the impetuous American heiress Lillian Bowman in the library. Although he has so far resisted the temptations of a woman who is entirely unsuitable for him, he is no longer able to control his desire for her . . .

      What I Think :

I Fell in love with the Lilian Bowman character when I read the first wallflower series. She's a rich american heiress, with a lot of money, but naver ashmed of admitting that her grandma was a dock washer. She's a foul mouthed women, headstrong, and a sharp minded, which are the quality that Marcus, the earl of westcliff detested most. But somehow, she gets into her skin real quickly.

The story was fast paced, with a lot of witty lines along the way, and it's fun to read how Marcus little by little soften his heart towards Lilian, and how he finally admitted that maybe she's the kind of woman the he may need ... big time.

While on the other hand, Lilian, who's impulses seldom get her into trouble, learns that Marcus is more than what he appears to be, he's more sensitive and more of the kind of person that Lilian looking for... all in all... a match made in heaven.

      Rating :
      4/5

Love of the way Lilian talk to Marcus, in the age of victorian, I think the way she talks really present a modern woman nowdays....

The Review of Lisa Kleypas Wallflower series : #1 A Secret Of A Summer Night

      From www.lisakleypas.com :

Secrets Of A Summer Night is the first novel in my Wallflower series, about four young ladies who enter London society with one common goal: they must use their feminine wit and wiles to find a husband. So a daring husband-hunting scheme

Annabelle Peyton, determined to save her family from disaster, decides to use her beauty and wit to tempt a suitable nobleman into making an offer of marriage. But Annabelle's most intriguing--and persistent-- admirer, wealthy, powerful Simon Hunt, has made it clear that while he will introduce her to irresistible pleasure he will not offer marriage. Annabelle is determined to resist his unthinkable proposition... but it is impossible in the face of such skillful seduction.

Her friends, looking to help, conspire to entice a more suitable gentleman to offer for Annabelle, for only then will she be safe from Simon--and her own longings. But on one summer night, Annabelle succumbs to Simon's passionate embrace and tempting kisses... and she discovers that love is the most dangerous game of all.

      What I Think :

I wonder why I have never interested on Lisa Kleypas book before, this one because I read Dream of You ( also by LK, and it was because I read Julia Quinn's novel - The Bridgerton Sagas, that I ecounter LK's book.

Ok,first of all, I have to tell you that I really enjoyed watching this book, it was medium pace, with a great plot, a poor heroine, who's in need of money, and didn't ashame of voicing that she is indeed in a dire situation of needing a husband. Come Annabelle Peyton, the beautiful yet poor heroine from an aristocrate family, who doesn;t mind having an fat, old but teeth must intact blue blood husband, so her family could eat. She was befriended but other wallflower girls, a wild  american , Lilian and Daisy Bowman, shy and timid english   heiress Evangeline Jenner, together they help eah other to finding a blueblood husband in the soiety.

Enter Simon Hunt, a rich working class man who set on making Annabelle his from the first moment he laid his eyes on her, but of course, every pursuit that he made towards Annabelle always been brushed lightly by her, but  Simon is determined, beside, he is the richest man, probably the richest in England.

So the hunt started, Annabelle for finding someone from her class, and Simon for luring Annabelle, with his charm and all, until one unplanned but planned situation happen between them, so that they got married.

Upon their marriage, Annabelle realize how Simon truly is, and little by little she started to respect Simon. And Simon litte by little started to give his heart to Annablle, and realize that she is the one that he need.

      Rating:
      5/5

I so enjoyed reading the book, the story was great the seduction is great, and how Simon sedue Annabele is oh so romantic.... totally... great... no need to say...

REVIEW OF MY ROMANCE NOVEL : Gergeous As Sin By Susan Johnson

      From www.fantastifiction.co.uk :

Fitz Monckton, Duke of Groveland, has never encountered a woman he can't seduce - until he clashes with the beautiful Rosalind St. Vincent, whose bookshop sits in the way of Fitz's lucrative development deal. If money won't entice Rosalind to sell her shop, Fitz must tempt her in other ways - hopefully mutually pleasurable, and profitable to them both.

      Plot :

Fitz Monckton were in hurry so he won't lose 90.000 grand of money to build a property, but Rosalind's bookshop stand in the way of project, and she was too stubborn to take his money, little did he know that Rosalind has a secret peofession that he could use to get her out his way, but will he do it?

      What I Think :

I love Susan Johnson's novel, I am her fan since I first read her novel Pure SIn, which is by all mean the sexiest novel I;ve ever read, great plot, fast pace, mixing romance and hot hot hot since.

So when I found this book and read it all night long, I found my self skipping some of the pages, because it was kinda dull, it consist too much sex ( not that I'm complaining), but it just too much, I mean I kinda expect that Rosalin would be a little hard to get  considering that her property was in danger, and the scene was so typical of SJ's, lots of heavy sex and the word " I don't take order very well", yeah right.

And in the end, I always thought that heroin on SJ books, were all sex starved women, who's easy to get and will do anything just to get laid, well... I mean if it were like Daisy Black of Forbidden, I would probably won't  mind, because she is a strong character, maybe because SJ took some times on making forbidden, unlike this one, I mean I just read their love making, and a chapter later, they can't wait to get into each other pants.... again....

Anyway .... the plot were good, but I wish SJ make it like she really meant it ...

THE REVIEW OF MY ORIFLAME PRODUCT # 9 : ULTIMATE GLOSS in Red Elixir

Hey guys .... been in Tasik for this couple days. My beloved home town ( which I will tell you about it later ).

For now I'm going to tell you about my favorite lip gloss ever, ORIFLAME ULTIMATE GLOSS in Red Elixir. Been using it here everywhere I go, and lots people notice it ( or is it because of my lips?? heuheuehuehue), nevertheles, I'm not a typical person who wears red lipstick or gloss, in fact, this was my first red ever.

Like usual lipgloss, it gave you the wet effect look, more sensual and sexy, and whats good about it? it doesn't give you a sticky feeling that usually gross me out. Just perfect. Whats more? it has an SPF 4 to protect you from the sun or any UV light that could make your lips dull and dry.

So here's how I look on it ... lol...

      From www.oriflame.com :

Ultimate Gloss gives you a wet effect, more sensual to your lips without stickish feeling. Contained SPF 4 to protect you from UV light

      Packaging :
A nice plastic ( almost look glassy) gloss bottle, with its usual gloss brush. 10 ml, so I think it'll last for 2 months or so.

MAKE UP RE-LIVE OF KAJOL ( OR TRY TO BE LIKE HER )

I Love Kajol, I think she's one of the biggest actress in Bolywood. Love her movie, my favorite was of course Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Fanna. Love her both in the movie.

So here's the thing, I saw her latest movie, My Name is Khan, in Bandung 2 days ago, quite good, the usual Yash Johar film, sad and over the top. And I notice that Kajol make up, from time to time hasn't change. It's always big on the eyes, wearing kajjal ( like her name). And it really suit her perfectly. You have to see her movies, so you' get the picture of what I'm saying.

And now, I try to recapture her eye on me... what do you think ?
You probably don't see the extra eyeliner i've been using... but I think  I did quite good. Put lots of eyeliner around your eyelid carefully, make it clean, and don't forget to tip it in the end. If you wanna get more smoky look, smudge it  a little.. and voila ..... good luck with trying

      HOT STUFF

FAVORITE STYLE OF THE YEAR : INDONESIAN CIREBON BATIK

Indonesia has lots of cultures, from the variety of foods to its traditional clothes. One of them is The Cirebon Batik.

Like any typical places in Java, Cirebon has its own style in the Batik art. It's mostly got something to do with the drawing or the clouds, or mega. And it's as beautiful as any other Batik in any other places in Indonesia.

And that is why I'm searching for the style of the Cirebon Batik a year ago, the wannabe designer in me always have the urge to once again live up my childhood dream.

And since the fabric is so flowy and thin ( but of course with a good quality), it's good to wear at the tropical weather like here.

So I hope you enjoy looking at some of my design, please go to the FB page. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Dnins-House/167428916602432
