THE REVIEW OF THE BRIDGERTON FAMILY SAGAS - Novels by Julia Quinn #6 When He was Wicked

From www.juliaquinn.com :

After years as London's most notorious rake, Michael Stirling took one look at Francesca Bridgerton and fell in love so fast and hard that it was a wonder he was able to remain standing.
Unfortunately, she was the one woman he could never have...

What I think :

Wow ............ hot.. hot hot ... THis is officially the one that I love most of all the bridgerton series. I just sooooooo loved it.
It tells story about unrequited love of Michael towards his cousin's wife Francesca Bridgerton, love at first sight, that's what happen to Michael on the day he saw Francesca on her wedding day. And when Francesca husband died suddenly, he just can't bear it to see Francesca and he left to India for almost 4 years, and when he returned, the spark he felt for Francesca, hasn't died, its almost brighten.

And it happen .. the night when he kissed her, with the passion he hold for all the years, and it shocked Francesca so he fled to scotland, but not to worry dear readers, because Michael went there also to confront their feelings and of course in the hope that they should married., so, the seduction begins.

I Just love the love hate feelings of Francesca toward Michael, and how he evokes the wantoness in her. Wow ... Bravo miss quinn, I'm so afraid that I won't be able to read the similar writing as to this one.... that is how much I like it...

THE REVIEW OF THE BRIDGERTON FAMILY SAGAS - Novels by Julia Quinn #5 To Sir Philip With Love

From www.juliaquinn.com

My dear Miss Bridgerton,
We have been corresponding now for quite some time, and although we have never formally met, I feel as if I know you.
Forgive me if I am too bold, but I am writing to invite you to visit me. It is my hope that we might decide that we will suit, and you will consent to be my wife.
—Sir Phillip Crane

Sir Phillip knew that Eloise Bridgerton was a spinster, and so he'd proposed, figuring that she'd be homely and unassuming, and more than a little desperate for an offer of marriage. Except... she wasn't. The beautiful woman on his doorstep was anything but quiet, and when she stopped talking long enough to close her mouth, all he wanted to do was kiss her... and more.

Did he think she was mad? Eloise Bridgerton couldn't marry a man she had never met! But then she started thinking... and wondering... and before she knew it, she was in a hired carriage in the middle of the night, on her way to meet the man she hoped might be her perfect match. Except... he wasn't. Her perfect husband wouldn't be so moody and ill-mannered, and while Phillip was certainly handsome, he was a large brute of a man, rough and rugged, and totally unlike the London gentlemen vying for her hand. But when he smiled... and when he kissed her... the rest of the world simply fell away, and she couldn't help but wonder... could this imperfect man be perfect for her?

What I think :
The novel took times during almost after Collin's wedding to penelope, while Eloise, Collin's sister, to a flight on the coach and head toward a man she never met, but knows for more than a year.

I have ecountered Eloise Bridgerton before, and from the previous novels, she was someone, who's smart, stubborn and talkative, and I think the author really put the story of her in justice.

The novel was romantic ( of course), and funny, and I love how Eloise interact with Phillip's children. Overall, The novel was great.

THE REVIEW OF THE BRIDGERTON FAMILY SAGAS - Novels by Julia Quinn #4 Romancing Mr. Bridgerton

 From www.juliaquinn.com :

Penelope Featherington has secretly adored her best friend's brother for... well, it feels like forever. After half a lifetime of watching Colin Bridgerton from afar, she thinks she knows everything about him, until she stumbles across his deepest secret... and fears she doesn't know him at all.

Colin Bridgerton is tired of being thought nothing but an empty-headed charmer, tired of the neverending sameness of his life, and, most of all, tired of everyone's preoccupation with the notorious gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, who can't seem to publish an edition without mentioning him in the first paragraph. But when Colin returns to London from a trip abroad, he discovers nothing in his life is quite the same—especially Penelope Featherington! The girl who was always simply... there is suddenly the girl haunting his dreams. But when he discovers that Penelope has secrets of her own, this elusive bachelor must decide... is she his biggest threat—or his promise of a happy ending?

What I Think :

Tsk.... I expect so much from the story of Collin, because from what I read on the previous novels, Collin was such a smart man, who always throws a wise words, and always sense things that happen around her. So when the story of Collin and Penelope arise, I though... hhmmm this is going to be so funny, witty and romantic. Well... not very much. I think Collin was so very slow to figure out in this book, and how he has so lack of confidence. And I think it wasn't so believable his love to Penelope, it was to slow and too.... boring..

Sorry Guys, I think from the 4 novels I have read, I certainly didn't like this one.

THE REVIEW OF THE BRIDGERTON FAMILY SAGAS - Novels by Julia Quinn #3 An Offer from a Gentleman

From www.juliaquinn.com :

Will she accept his offer before the clock strikes midnight?
Sophie Beckett never dreamed she'd be able to sneak into Lady Bridgerton's famed masquerade ball—or that "Prince Charming" would be waiting there for her! Though the daughter of an earl, Sophie has been relegated to the role of servant by her disdainful stepmother. But now, spinning in the strong arms of the debonair and devastatingly handsome Benedict Bridgerton, she feels like royalty. Alas, she knows all enchantments must end when the clock strikes midnight.
Who was that extraordinary woman? Ever since that magical night, a radiant vision in silver has blinded Benedict to the attractions of any other—except, perhaps this alluring and oddly familiar beauty dressed in housemaid's garb whom he feels compelled to rescue from a most disagreeable situation. He has sworn to find and wed his mystery miss, but this breathtaking maid makes him weak with wanting her. Yet, if he offers his heart, will Benedict sacrifice his only chance for a fairy tale love?

What I think :

I thought the story was so cinderella - ish, the girl in a party, clock struck at midnight, left behind something. Well that's what happen to Benedict and Sophie story. But you know what, what I love about this one was, the sexy scenes between Sophie and Benedict. The first 2 story was about saving your self after marrieage, but not this one, Sophie actually gave in to Benedict. Yey...

The conversation was never dull, like other Quinn's book, it was funny and witty. I believe after I read this one, I say that this one was my favorite.

THE REVIEW OF THE BRIDGERTON FAMILY SAGAS - Novels by Julia Quinn #2 The Viscount who Loved Me

From www.juliaquinn.com :
1814 promises to be another eventful season, but not, This Author believes, for Anthony Bridgerton, London's most elsuive bachelor, who has shown no indication that he plans to marry.
And in truth, why should he? When it comes to playing the consummate rake, nobody does it better...
Lady Whistledown's Society Papers, April 1814
But this time the gossip columnists have it wrong. Anthony Bridgerton hasn't just decided to marry—he's even chosen a wife! The only obstacle is his intended's older sister, Kate Sheffield—the most meddlesome woman ever to grace a London ballroom. The spirited schemer is driving Anthony mad with her determination to stop the betrothal, but when he closes his eyes at night, Kate is the woman haunting his increasingly erotic dreams...
Contrary to popular belief, Kate is quite sure that reformed rakes do not make the best husbands—and Anthony Bridgerton is the most wicked rogue of them all. Kate is determined to protect her sister—but she fars her own heart is vulnerable. And when Anthony's lips touch hers, she's suddenly afraid she might not be able to resist the reprehensible rake herself...

What I think :
I think I liked it. This novel was fast pace, and lots of witty conversation between the hero and the heroine, not to mention funny. I love how Anthony started to realized her feeling for Kate  but still questioning whether he should go for it or not, until her body speak for its own. And I loved the way Julia Quinn started to add some spicy scene on this one. One how he tried to persuade Kate to marry her, I think it was sweet and romantic. And I love how Julia turned the hate turn to like turn to love. Its all so romantic

THE REVIEW OF THE BRIDGERTON FAMILY SAGAS - Novels by Julia Quinn #1 The Duke And I

From www.juliaquinn.com :
Can there be any greater challenge to London's Ambitious Mamas than an unmarried duke?
—Lady Whistledown's Society Papers, April 1813
By all acounts, Simon Basset is one the verge of proposing to his best friend's sister, the lovely—and almost-on-the-shelf—Daphne Bridgerton. But the two of them know the truth—it's all an elaborate plan to keep Simon free from marriage-minded society mothers. And as for Daphne, surely she will attract some worthy sutiors now that it seems a duke has declared her desirable.
But as Daphne waltzes across ballroom after ballroom with Simon, it's hard to remember that their courtship is a complete sham. Maybe it's his devilish smile, certainly it's the way his eyes seem to burn every time he looks at her... but somehow Daphne is falling for the dashing duke... for real! And now she must do the impossible and convince the handsome rogue that their clever little scheme deserves a slight alteration, and that nothing makes quite as much sense as falling in love...

What I Think :
Yes, truly, it's all started from the Julia Quinn fan page on Facebook. The comments that the fan made were simply the things that pulled me to buy one of the book. ( I have been eyeing The Lost Duke of Wyndham for quite sometimes, but it never really attracted me.), until I read most of the comments the fan made on Facebook were for Julia Quinn Novels on The Bridgerton Family Saga. She was not only write 3, but 8. Bravo. So I bought the first 3 of her book ( The Duke and I, The Viscount who Loved me, and An offer from a Gentleman).

So heres what I thought about The Duke and I.  As a fan of Julie Garwood, Susan Johnson and Paula Quinn, I found that The Duke and I was written so slow. There's lots of conversation between the character, and Julia even made one scene in 3 chapter. Yes it was suppose to be romantic. This book is romantic, not to mention how the heroine is smart and witty altogether. But I don't really feel the passion ( yes there was a passion, a little), but Julia manage it to write almost until 2/3 of the book been flipped.

Don't get me wrong, I love Daphne, but being smart and all, I don't get when she didn't know anything about how the baby was made. I wish there's more heavier romance between her and simon, because, it's plain to read how he felt about him.

DAY 10 TO LOSING WEIGHT

Ladies and gentleman, I found out yesterday, that Maple Joe Syrup isn't a type B. It was so break my heart when I hear the news. But then it made sense. My weight is hard to lose when I consumed the maple, comparing to when I drank my lemon potion minus the maple. So, I took the liberty of eating something that surely make my stomach so full that I almost cry when I finished it. ( I know it's a set back).

So I realised, what if the diet I took earlier ( from day 1 to 4), is the right diet for me. The lemon juice minus maple, but now I can add the cayenne ( since it has so many benefits), and a banana every morning, fruit in the afternoon, and veggies for lunch and dinner. ( back to the wanna be vegan again????) yes I can eat when I'm hungry ( banana or something fruity with less sugar).

I took a liberty on buying a laxative tea yesterday, as well as sea salt, for I am sure than I can proceed to do the lemon diet. ( but to no avail, but quest of finding the right maple is swamp). I drank the tea before I went to bed, and have this hurt ( like hell) kind of ache, and have to go asap .. I mean ASAP.That continued until now ( 7.28 am). And I hear that my stomach rumble... wanting for food. So I drank a glass of water, miracle, I feel a little bit fool ( i'm going to eat banana afterward).

Went to scale my weight, 69 Kg... yey ... least I didn't gain much ( much as I remember I lost 0,5kg), probably for that damn laxative.

So guys.. that's it for today, the set back was I eat carb yesterday and I am so ashamed of it.....

DAY 9 TO LOSING WEIGHT : The master Cleanse, .. think I'll do it

Ok, so you probably wondering what happen to day 8 to losing weight, well I didn't write about it, for I was so busy yesterday with my mum coming from tasik. The good news was, that we miss her terribly, but the bad news, that she always insist on having family meal outside, this time was Bakmi Gajah Mada ( Gajah Mada Noodle) at bintaro plaza, and believe me , I can't refuse.

But I have to tell you, before she came, I was having my noon meal, zuccini and shrimps. And tho its a small portion but I guess its enough for me. Then she came and up we go. There I ate 1/2 portion of Meatball noodle and 2 fried dumplings. ( yes.... I know... I cheated ).

So today I weighted, and you know what? I'm at 69.5kg. I gained 1,5 kg. I can't believe it. So i thought what went wrong, I meant obviously 1/2 portion of gajah mada noodle won't made me gain 1,5 kg. So I thought probably there's something wrong with the potion. I mean, the master cleanse potion isn't for dieting, but for cleansing. Now I get whats the maple is for. It was sweet, and I avoid sweet.

So I come to decision that I will do The Master Cleanse Really. 10 days. and since the whole 8 days I have eaten nothing but fruit and veggies, so I think I have prepared my self. I read the master cleanse need you to fast. I might not have filtered water, and maple syrup grade B, but at least the Maple Joe is a pure maple syrup, so, it counts... right?

So here are the items you need for this cleanse :

  • Laxatives (to create Daily Detox Bowel Movements)
  • Sea Salt (for The Salt Water Flush)
  • Hand Juicers or Electric Juicers
  • Teaspoon and Tablespoon Measures
  • Naturally Non-caffeinated Herbal Teas (the only cheating allowed)
  • Bio-Metric Measures (scales, ph-testers, body fat measures, and other devices to measure the results of your cleanse)
  • Journals (to document the process, emotions, challenges and triumphs during the Master Cleanse

there's something important about the master cleanse THAT IT IS NOT A DIET, IT'S A CLEANSE ....   hmmmmmmm ok ok ....

So guys.. stick with, as I conquered my weight battle and I will not fail.

No I am 69,5 kg.

DAY 7 TO LOSING WEIGHT

Hi guys, thanks for tuning in. I usually wrote the my blog every morning after I do my morning chores, but today, which is sunday, I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. So off to go to the bathroom. Little do I know, that today was full of trips to the bathroom. I's like to think that my body is doing cleansing.. lol.

In the morning, I took a glass of my lemon potion, a glass of drink, and a banana. Then, of course the toilet, somehow I can't hold it on. For lunch, I made vegetable fried noodle for my daughter, don't know if it call cheating, but I at 4 spoon full of that noodle. Then at 2 pm ate 1/2 of papayas. Stomach full, went to sleep ( because I stay late yesterday, and didn't get much sleep).

After I woke up, I feel a little bit hungry, so I took my lemon potion, and made my self a mushroom soup from Campbell,  do you know that you can make a diet soup, I check out the site, and it contains lots article for being healthy and diets http://www.campbellwellness.com. And because I feel a bit tired, I add low fat milk to my soup. Not bad, i eat half cup of it, and feeling full.

Got weighted I am 68 kg now, so overall in 7 days,  I have lost 4 Kg (8lbs).

Did I tell you that I bought shrimps yesterday, and I read that shrimp is high on cholesterol, but good on low fat diet. Hmmm confuse? shrimp are actually low in saturated fat and total fat. Recent research suggests that foods that are high in dietary cholesterol alone don’t raise blood cholesterol levels as much as foods that are high in saturated fat—in the case of shrimp, this is possibly due to the protective properties of omega-3 fatty acids ( according to http://lowfatcooking.about.com/od/faqs/f/shrimp.htm ). Godd huh..

So, I picked a recipe that's best suit my taste, here you go :

Shrimp with Spring Vegetables

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 pound medium shrimp, de-veined
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Juice of 2 large lemons
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 large leek, white part only, sliced
  • 1 medium zucchini, halved lengthwise and sliced
  • 1 cup peas

Preparation:

Place shrimp in a large resealable plastic bag with lemon juice, garlic and rosemary. Marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Coat a large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Sauté leeks and zucchini on medium heat until softened and leeks are fragrant—about 4 minutes. Add peas and cook for 2-3 more minutes. Add shrimp and marinade to skillet and cook until shrimp are no longer pink—about 3 minutes. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves 4.

BOOK REVIEW : SUSAN JOHNSON - FORBIDDEN

This is by all mean my favorite Susan Johnson book. I can't remember how many time I have read this one, and yet, it never stop me for re-reading it over and over again.

The story is so sultry sexy, hot without being cheesy, and romantic without being over the top, Ok, it was over the top, but I totally think that its ok with it.

This book was the Braddock-Black series, and tells the story of Daisy Black, the daughter of famous Hazard Black, an indian who was on of not too many lawyer at that time. Beautiful, sexy, smart and run the life of a true indian. A lethal combo.

Daisy isn't a normal kind of woman, who swoon easily. Until he met french greatest playboy, Ettienne Martel, a man with such wealth and nobility, who's about getting too tired with his life.

Together they feel and loved the world they live in, realizing that there're so much threat to their happiness, .... like Ettienne wife.

So.... for you guys, who loves romance, sexy scenes, and to die for hero and fabulous heroine, just tune in to this book and enjoy reading it.

DAY 5 TO LOSING WEIGHTS

Hey guys .. wassup... there's something I want to tell you and it made me feel so happy. When I woke up, I did't hear any of my joints of my bones crack. Usually when I wake up, all I can hear was the sound of " ddrraakkk", lol.. yeah.. I feel so great.

I bought maple syrup and cayenne pepper yesterday, but still I'mnot to sure on doing the master cleanse, because :
1. I'm not too sure if my maple syrup is a type B
2. I can't get a distilled water.

So, I'm Going to stick to my diet, which is lots of vegies and fruits, no sugar, less carb, an hopefully lots of protein.

Lets get on with my weight today. I am officially a 69 kg. So in five day I have lost 3 Kg. yey.. ( this is 8.30 am -- so i havent live the day 5 fully, but I'm sure you guys get the picture).
After I do my daily routine ( which is preparing my daughter to school), I made the lemon/cayenne/maple syrup potion -- known as the master cleanse potion), uh, I made that also yesterday, and you know what, what they say is true, I feel more energize, and no pang of hunger.

So today I'm going to talk about pasta, do you know that some said that it's good for your diet? hhhmm, pasta was made from a white flour so it means carb carb and carb. But the good thing is, its low at GI ( or so that what I read), so by eating pasta you  give your body a favour. hhmmm.... I'm a fan of pasta my self, and i think I;m going to try this for my lunch.

So here's the recipe, all you need is :
10 piece of spagetti pasta
2 red tomato ( slice the way you like)
1/2 zuccini
chilli ( or pepper bell)
tomato sauce ( if you one too - just for colour only 1 tbs please)
salt and pepper to taste ( be careful for not over doing the salt )

First, you boil the pasta until its aldante ( knew that term when I watch this  japan series called " BAMBINO" great one its about a guy who wants to be an italian chef ).
Second, stir fried the zuccini, tomato, with olive oil, the chilli and the sauce, then add the pasta you made, then gives salt and pepper. ( pic will be include later)
so there you go.. spagetti for diet.

So I have my lunch ( big time for having pasta), for dinner I'll lay low. Probably just papayas and banana with a dip of maple syrup or olive oil ... yum yum

Stay tune for tomorrow, lets see if the pasta really do damage for my weight.

PS : DON'T FORGET  YOUR LEMON POTION, NOW THAT I HAVE CAYENNE PEPPER AND MAPLE SYRUP I'M GOING TO MAKE THE MASTER CLEANSE POTION

2 tbs of fresh lemon

2 tbs of maple syrup
a pinch of cayenne pepper
a glass of water ( room temp)

DAY 4 TO LOSING WEIGHTS

Hola Amigo .... so this is my day 4 of dieting. I have to tell you that I woke up feeling great this morning. No headache or whatsoever, no hunger, it just great. I weighted and I am now 69.5 kg. Not bad.So on the day 4 I have lost aprroximately 2,5 kgs. yey ....

I have to tell you about my journey about spending a day yesterday. As I know, yesterday was my shift as an operator at the net shop I'm owning. So I didn't spend much of my time near the kitchen ( which is great because the smells of food cooking really bad for your diet). And like usual, I at half of small papaya and of course banana. Like I told you earlier, that banana diet was famous in japan. ( its a diet where you eat banana in the morning and drink a glass of water), and you can eat anything at lunch and dinner. The rules were, you can't eat dessert ( sweet things), and dinner is served last at 8 pm, and you must go to bed early ( say 10 pm).

Ok back to me .. lol... i have ran out of lemon, so I think I'm going to get those today.  I have to tell you something, I feel like my baby stomach has getting smaller, well to be exact, I think I have to measure it. Lets start today then.

Waist : 84 cm ( don't suck up your tummy)
Hips   : 107 cm
Thighs : 60 cm
Arm    : 35 cm

Plan for today :

Breakfast : 2 glass of water ( or any glass you like) with banana.

Lunch  : 1/2 papayas and steamed tofu

Dinner  : I think I'm going to make rattatoulie. ( wish me luck)

So have fun and I hope you stay tunned....
PS : don't forget your lemon juice ( I'm going to buy cayenne pepper and try to find maple syrup today), but as you can rad I no longer eat rice or things that contain carbs.... )

this is a good example of what to eat during your diet ( well I avoid animal so, its your choice )

DAY 3 TO LOSING WEIGHTS

Hi Guys ....... back again on day 3... Have to say that I feel good. I don't feel the hurt from the hunger. Infact, I'm getting use to it. So heres what I do today.

Oh I got to tell you this first, yesterday ( on day two) I ate papaya and a banana for my lunch, and for my dinner I made tomato grill salad ( I've put the recipe yesterday). And at night before I went to sleep, I ate half banana to calm my stomach, so yes.... it's pratically banana diet. And guys, stay away from carb. Since I live in a country which eat rice almost everyday, I quit rice 100%, and you know what, today I weighed and I am now 70 kg, so I officially lost 2 kg .. yey.

So today, I woke up with a warm water, remember guys, always get you a drink after you wake up. And after I took my morning bath, I drank a glass of water again and eat a banana. ( I recently read this article about banana diet -- where you eat a banana every morning with a warm water -- it'll get you full until you have your breakfast.. or you can read the article at http://morningbanana.com )

I was thinking on buying some mushroom for my lunch, check out this site http://www.3fatchicks.com , it has lots of great recipes.I'm going to make Zuccini Rattatoulie for dinner. Here's the reipe as you seen on http://www.3fatchicks.com/diet-recipes/zucchini-ratatouille/, I'll let you know when it's done. But I dont think I'm going to use cheese.

Notes : Try to use healthy cooking oil if you want to cook something, I use Olive oil, and I read that orn oil is better than coconut oil when your dieting. But please don't fried your food often, find recipe that use steaming, or boiling.

For Your Info :
I've read this article on the internet about corn tortillas, and how it has been a source of food diet for most latin american. Corn tortillas are a low-fat, low-sodium food and provide potassium, calcium, and fiber in less than sixty calories per serving ( http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0PCH/is_2_5/ai_n6009314/) And since I'm a big fan of tacos, I think I'm going to try to make some vegetables taco, or just make some salsa dipping using the tortilas.

You also can try to eat corn, before I was hesitate because I thought corn has lots of carb in it

Corn consist of vitamin B1 which is good to maintain your memory, vitamin B5 and folate, dietary fiber, vitamin C, phosphorus and manganese.
You can try to boil or steam a corn ob, and add a litte olive oil before you it,

And here were the 10 list of low calories fruit ( as written on http://www.dietbites.com )
- 1/2 grapefruit (use Splenda or Equal to sweeten) - 35 calories
- 3 medium apricots - 51 calories
- 1 cup cantaloupe - 55 calories
- 1/2 cup of cherries - 37 calories
- 1 cup of cranberries - 45 calories
- 1 cup of grapes - 55 calories
- 1 medium guava - 45 calories
- 1 cup of honeydew melon - 60 calories
- 1/2 papaya (about 5 1/2 ounces) 60 calories
- 1 medium peach - 40 calories

So guys ... hope the info helps, and I'll see you guys later...

GET ME MOISTURIZE Part 1 : Vaseline Intensive Care : Sunblock

For the last six months, Jakarta has been a very hot city, even if it suppose to be rainy season, still... its hot like hell ( lol...), anyhow... I'm not typical girl who bothers about getting my body moisturize, only when I'm on the beach, then I got to apply it. But somehow, being in my 30, I notice that I got burnt so easily no ( or feel like it), I feel so hot inside ( in a good way ... wink wink).

I've known vaseline for like years. My mum always buy vaseline, but I never interested on using them. I'm not much into body care treatment kind of thing. So now that I've known the damage of the sun could bring you. So I was thinking on getting my self protected my lotion that has spf to protect me from the sun.And you know what, the price for the product that contained spf 30 is so high in jakarta ( I probably exagerated it a little, but I still think it is. So I was so ecstatic when I saw that vaseline now has a product to use during the day for the sunlight protection ( sadly the orange bottle only contain for the 100 ml line).

So here's my review after 1 month using The Vaseline Sun Block

Packaging :
An orange plastic bottle with flip ( first time it;s kinda hard for me to open it, but once you got it, it open easily.)
100 ml - sadly it hasn't come with the bigger bottle.

Price :
I forgot, its around Rp.25.000 - Rp.30.000

My Skin type :
Unlike my face, my body is very dry ( I mean so dry it hurts)

Texture :
Thick lotion, and has white residu when you apply it, but it' ll be gone in a minutes. It came with the orangy smells too.

General Review :
Ok, at first I didn't care much about what it do to me once I got outdoor. But seriously, I think it lessen the burn feeling when I didn't use the sunblock at all, sure I still feel hot due to the sun, at least the burned feeling is lessen, and I feel much safer with it applied on me. It said its water resistant. I dunno about that, becouse I love to wash my hands after I touch something, so I guess it doesn't count on being wash up. Probably the water resistant applied when it suddenly rain and you got some water on you.

Ingredients :
I haven;t got around to write it all and I couldn't  find it elsewhere, but i read that the active ingredient called zinc oxide, according to www.encyclopedia.com  , it absorbs ultraviolet light, so less sunburn. Zinc oxide can be used in ointments, creams, and lotions to protect against sunburn. Crystalline zinc oxide exhibits the piezoelectric effect, is luminescent, and is light sensitive. So there's the explanation about the active ingredient.
It also contains aloe extract which help you avoiding sun burn, helps you soothe your skin, and gives you vitamin. And yogurt powder which helps your skin from enviromental pollutant.

Application :
Rub it all over your body ( specially parts that ill get expose to sunlight.

Ratings :
8 of 10 ... think I'm going to enjoy using it for months to come.

My Note :
Even tho it's a sunblock, this product really gives you the smoothness of typical lotion. And since it smells so nice, applying perfume isn't needed. Kawaii...

DAY 2 TO LOSING WEIGHTS

Today is my second day of dieting. Have to tell you something, yesterday was hard, my head hurt like hell and I got so hungry I couldn't sleep. So I took a nap at 4 to 6 pm and and drank my lemon potion. And I noticed I still got my spinach on the upboard so I dug it out ( thankfully no hunger no more).

But again, the hungry strikes me at 9 pm, and the headache came again. I know this headache due the food that I was so lack of. So I eat half of a banana and drink warm water, and just got to sleep.

And you know  what? Today I woke up with no headache at all, so I took a bath and getting ready to work for a while. I feel so fresh. So I make a warm water, and ate a banana for breakfast, then I gathered my courage to be weighed, suprised? 70.5 kg. But don't be alarmed people, its usual for me to lose 1/2 to 1 kgs for the first day, the second day probably the hardest to lose it. So you have to stay tuned for tomorrow.

And I was thinking on getting some tomato and zuccini for my lunch. So here's my recipe ( so easy)...

All you need :
1/2 of zuccini
1 red tomato
salt and pepper

First you grill the tomato and zucini after you cut the tomato into half, and after you slice up your zucinni. Grill them until it got brownish and add some olive oil, salt and pepper. Just like that... easy huh ( I'll upload the pic today)

I bought papayas also, heard that it has lots of vitamin C and B.

And of course... don't forget your lemon potion. Only 2 tbs of lemon for one drink ( I drank 6 - 8 glass per day)

Wish me luck....

MY MASTER CLEANSE DIET : Can I do it? ( the journey on losing some weights)

I always in denial for this past 6 years, somehow after giving birth to my daughter, I can't shed the fat inside of me. I've tried gymming ( it work for a while, then once I stop I grew large again --- ok that's probably my own fault). Then I start this eat right diet ( where you steam or grill your food, and totally avoid the four legged animal) -- it worked ( but only lose 3 kgs overall). And when the ramadhan came, I thought this is it, my solution to be thin finally came, but it failed miserably. In the end I'm not losing, I'm gaining.

So today is March the 15th, 71 kgs, 154 cm. My goal is to be 55kg... lol..

I read about the master cleanse diet, where basically you don't eat anything, just drink the recipe below :
2 tbs of fresh lemon
2 tbs maple syrup ( grade B)
1/10 tbs of cayenne pepper
using distilled water, you drink it 8 - 12 times a day. Note : you can't eat anything but drink this recipe. ( for more information go to http://cayennepepperdiet.org/
Lemon and cayenne pepeer I can find, but it's kinda hard to have maple syrup type B here, and distilled water??? so far I haven't seen any distilled water bottle, so the only think is I have to make it on my own.

It said that, before you do the master cleanse, first you have to do the pre cleanse diet, which is eat more veggies for 2 days, and cut your sugar ( ie coffee, alcohol ). So I don't drink coffee anymore. Have quite smoking ages ago, and I really cut my sugar ( meaning I don't eat sugary food or drinks).

The trouble is the maple syrup for me now, I have asked the master cleanse people if I could substitute the maple with anything else, but they get me the solution of shipping it here ( that'll be very costly for me).

So here what I propose until I could find the Maple Syrup grade B in jakarta, and learn to make distilled water, that I would ;
1. Try the lemon/cayenne recipe ( without the maple ofcourse - because I'm not too sure if you can use the usual maple syrup, I mean if it contain artificial sugar, etc).
2. Avoid Rice
3. Be more vegan( meaning I eat more vegetable, not being a vegetarian)
4 .If i were to eat meat, then I'm going to grill or steam it.
5. If I were to eat outside, then I' ll choose smaller portion
6. No sugary product.
7. drink lots of water
overall : I eat less food. ( like one time a day)

Time of achievement : 14 day min ..... lets pray that I don't cheat.

hhhmmm I probably won't call it master cleanse, just a close to lemon/cayenne diet.lol... wish me luck guys.

Day 1 : ( Me as seen on the pic) even my feet looks fat

Made the  lemon potion. (2 tbs of lemon juice) in the morning ---- haven't even bought the cayenne pepper yet. and drink lots of water.
For my meal today :
a small bowl of spinach and steamed cayenne tofu. ( the recipe below).

10 small white tofu ( bought it in the market)

mash the bellow ingredient bellow :
5 red onion/shallots
3 garlic
3 pecan/candle nut ( I don't know which one but in bahasa you say kemiri)

the you mash the tofu, add the mashed ingredient, and add :
10 fresh cayenne pepper
2 lemon grass
2 salam leaves
2 leeks
sweet basil leaves ( as you like it)
salt

steam them all together for 45 minutes till it smells nice. have fun trying.

THE CASE OF MY BILLABONG : Bag

I went to Bali to spend new years eve with my husband and my two brothers, we stayed there for 5 nights, and then my mum came with my daughter on the 1st of January 2010. So I stayed there almost 10 days or so.

Being with mum there, of course shopping is a total must. We got out from our hotel at 8 am after we had our breakfast, came back at 12, took a nap, then again got out at 3.30 pm and back at 8. hhhmmmm

My mum and I share this common love of Billabong bags, so as she looked around the counter looking for one, I in the other hands transfixed by 2 choices of bag. One was black, the other was brown. Both were leather and soooooo beautiful.... The black is much much bigger ( I love big bags to carry around my things), the other one is smaller ( but it was too cute), both prices almost at the same range. So in the end I choose this one :

From www.e-pointbreakstore.com :
Name : Billabong Agnes Hand Bag
Billabong Agnes Shoulder Bag 100% Polyurethane
long strap 25 cm

Price :
Rp.449.000
When I baught this bag, it cost me Rp.445.000 ( I don't know if its cheaper when you buy it in Bali or else)

So... there .... bought that one instead of black one. Have to remind you that I'm 32 years old, and not skinny at all, somehow me wearing that bag ... hhhmmmm kinda odd.

It made me come to a decision, in order me to use that bag, I have to go dieting or simply wait till y daughter older so I can give it to her .... bummer...

The Review of my Oriflame Product # 7 : Milk and Honey Nourishing Face Mask with organic milk and honey extract

From Oriflame March Catalog Product ( as seen in www.oriflame.com) :
A Face Mask with pure milk extract and honey which nourish and moisturize your face in 5 to 10 minutes.

AQUA, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERIN, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, PEG-100 STEARATE, DIMETHICONE, MEL, TETRAHYDROXYPROPYL ETHYLENEDIAMINE, XANTHAN GUM, SODIUM ACRYLATE/ACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE COPOLYMER, CETEARETH-20, IMIDAZOLIDINYL UREA, METHYLPARABEN, ISOHEXADECANE, LACTIC ACID, SACCHARIDE ISOMERATE, PROPYLPARABEN, PARFUM, POLYSORBATE 80, SINE ADIPE LAC, LINALOOL, GLYCOLIC ACID, SORBITAN OLEATE, HEXYL CINNAMAL, BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL, CITRIC ACID, CI 47005, CI 1470

Packaging :
Tube with screw top, 50 ml.

My Skin Type :
Combination skin, but mostly oily.
Texture :
Thick, creamy, unlike the usual mask I used to wear, that was powdery, and gets really dried after a while.
This one didn't get dry like your usual mask, so it gets you sticky, thick feelings.

What I think :
Ok, when I first applied it, I kinda ecstatic because its a cream already, so I don't have to add water. But as I put in on, I can't help but feel this kinda burn or hot, maybe because it's too sticky. And finally it didn't go dry like I expect it to be. So in the end, my skin is too overmoist, that I clean it with a face soap.

Price :
Rp. 42.900

Ratings :
3 of 10
Going to give it to my cousin,  she has more dry skin then I do... hopefully it work for her, and I'll make sure to write on her point of view for different skin type.

HOT FOR THE SEASON

I'be been watching fashion TV, looking some runways, and check out some styles site on the internet. One thing that I notice is the lipstick they are all wearing it nude, bold or bright ...

Some top stylish says that natural look is hot make up trend for 2010, flawless skin, little mascara, nude lipstick, touch of mineral foundation. I've tried this look earlier, and it did gave me a fresh natural look.

And because flawless skin is the key, of course we all need to take care our skin carefully. Start by consuming vitamins, too boost your glow, and eat more healthy vegetables, to get your skin renewed faster, and get plenty of water, to rehydreate your skin pore.

My mom used to teach me on how to make your own face mask, to wear on your weekend. Simple ingredient, such as avocado, honey and cucumber.

The most important, protect your skin from sun and harsh environment, start using your make up base before your foundation, use more skin friendly product, moisturize your whole body.

For women who always happen to have a zit or two, because you got some oils on  your skin, why not re - touched your make up, during your lunch break, bring your face cleaner, and re do your make up once again. ( of course for this one you need to practice to fasten your speed on applying make up -- say 10 minutes? believe me, you can do it)

Clean your brush once every 2 weeks, or ok then once a month, so you're sure you're using clean tools to apply your make up.

Laksana : MIe bakso Pangsit rebus ( Noodles with meatballs and dumplings)

I went to Tasikmalaya a week ago, and during my stay there, having a meatballs noodles is a must do for me.

There's something different about the way it taste. The noodles even different. They usually handmade, so the taste is absolutely fantastic.

Lately, my favorite was from Laksana Restaurant. The texture of the noodles is great, and what's nice was that they really put an effort of making the pangsit, which I love very much.

Well, if you happen to be near to my hometown, come and have a taste of tasikmalaya noodles... I am sure that you will not regret it.

HOT STUFF

FAVORITE STYLE OF THE YEAR : INDONESIAN CIREBON BATIK

Indonesia has lots of cultures, from the variety of foods to its traditional clothes. One of them is The Cirebon Batik.

Like any typical places in Java, Cirebon has its own style in the Batik art. It's mostly got something to do with the drawing or the clouds, or mega. And it's as beautiful as any other Batik in any other places in Indonesia.

And that is why I'm searching for the style of the Cirebon Batik a year ago, the wannabe designer in me always have the urge to once again live up my childhood dream.

And since the fabric is so flowy and thin ( but of course with a good quality), it's good to wear at the tropical weather like here.

So I hope you enjoy looking at some of my design, please go to the FB page. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Dnins-House/167428916602432
