GET ME MOISTURIZE Part 1 : Vaseline Intensive Care : Sunblock
For the last six months, Jakarta has been a very hot city, even if it suppose to be rainy season, still... its hot like hell ( lol...), anyhow... I'm not typical girl who bothers about getting my body moisturize, only when I'm on the beach, then I got to apply it. But somehow, being in my 30, I notice that I got burnt so easily no ( or feel like it), I feel so hot inside ( in a good way ... wink wink).
I've known vaseline for like years. My mum always buy vaseline, but I never interested on using them. I'm not much into body care treatment kind of thing. So now that I've known the damage of the sun could bring you. So I was thinking on getting my self protected my lotion that has spf to protect me from the sun.And you know what, the price for the product that contained spf 30 is so high in jakarta ( I probably exagerated it a little, but I still think it is. So I was so ecstatic when I saw that vaseline now has a product to use during the day for the sunlight protection ( sadly the orange bottle only contain for the 100 ml line).
So here's my review after 1 month using The Vaseline Sun Block
Packaging :
An orange plastic bottle with flip ( first time it;s kinda hard for me to open it, but once you got it, it open easily.)
100 ml - sadly it hasn't come with the bigger bottle.
Price :
I forgot, its around Rp.25.000 - Rp.30.000
My Skin type :
Unlike my face, my body is very dry ( I mean so dry it hurts)
Texture :
Thick lotion, and has white residu when you apply it, but it' ll be gone in a minutes. It came with the orangy smells too.
General Review :
Ok, at first I didn't care much about what it do to me once I got outdoor. But seriously, I think it lessen the burn feeling when I didn't use the sunblock at all, sure I still feel hot due to the sun, at least the burned feeling is lessen, and I feel much safer with it applied on me. It said its water resistant. I dunno about that, becouse I love to wash my hands after I touch something, so I guess it doesn't count on being wash up. Probably the water resistant applied when it suddenly rain and you got some water on you.
Ingredients :
I haven;t got around to write it all and I couldn't find it elsewhere, but i read that the active ingredient called zinc oxide, according to www.encyclopedia.com , it absorbs ultraviolet light, so less sunburn. Zinc oxide can be used in ointments, creams, and lotions to protect against sunburn. Crystalline zinc oxide exhibits the piezoelectric effect, is luminescent, and is light sensitive. So there's the explanation about the active ingredient.
It also contains aloe extract which help you avoiding sun burn, helps you soothe your skin, and gives you vitamin. And yogurt powder which helps your skin from enviromental pollutant.
Application :
Rub it all over your body ( specially parts that ill get expose to sunlight.
Ratings :
8 of 10 ... think I'm going to enjoy using it for months to come.
My Note :
Even tho it's a sunblock, this product really gives you the smoothness of typical lotion. And since it smells so nice, applying perfume isn't needed. Kawaii...
